Gynaecology and Surgical Services Unit:
The Gynaecology and Surgical Services unit are making every effort to ensure disruption to services are minimised. We recommend that patients being asked to attend appointments and attend for planned surgery check wether conditions and travel disruptions that may effect their journey. Some local authorities are warning against travel unless it is absolutely needed, and whilst every attempt is being made to provide services as normal at the hospital, we are advising patients to consider whether they can make their journey safely.
Patients can contact patient services in office hours regarding appointments and will be given an opportunity to reschedule their appointments. Patients scheduled for surgery should ring the ward detailed in their admission letter or via switchboard and ask for extension 4021.
Patients reliant on Ambulances may need to check as to whether ambulances are available for none emergency transportation and reschedule appointments and admissions by contacting departments detailed above.
