My daughter was born 2 weeks late and I needed to be induced. From the moment we entered the hospital we were made to feel welcome by everyone. This includes the Induction Suite staff, the Midwives on the Delivery suite-especially wonderful Tina who delivered our baby, the Midwives on the Maternity wards and the catering and cleaning staff. The care we received from the midwives was outstanding without exception. At each handover we felt confident in our new midwife because they took time to introduce themselves and explain all my care. Their excellent advice ensured I was never left in exceptional pain-one of the midwives explained that by asking for pain relief in good time, I could ensure it was arranged and I never felt panicked. This is just one example of how the midwives' experience helped me (and my husband!). I also received really good advice (and a lot of patient help!) from the midwives and the Breastfeeding Advisers-my daughter has been fully breastfed ever since and is piling the weight on! My daughter is now three months old and I have talked about the care I received to all my friends, one of whom is delivering her baby at the Women's Hospital. I know my experience has helped her and given her more confidence. Thank you to all the truly wonderful staff-and see you in about 3 years, I hope!!!!
The staff in the unit treated us with great sensitivity whilst clearly explaining the procedures involved and carrying out their clinical duties efficiently and with a high degree of professionalism
I would like to pay tribute to the professionalism, care and good humour of the nursing team who cared for me when I attended for an outpatient procedure. Please pass on my grateful thanks for their diligence and supportive care, they are a credit to the organisation and the NHS.
The nurse in Gynaecology out patients showed kindness, love, support and understanding that was outstanding. She has a natural ability to calm patients with her gentle way
This time last year I was visiting a child in an American ICU and my experience of both systems informs me that Liverpool Women’s Hospital matched their facilities, performance and standard of care in every way that I could observe
I was treated fantastically well by all the staff from the sisters to nurses to auxiliary staff and they helped to make what was a very traumatic experience extremely bearable. The kindness, patience, professionalism and humour they all demonstrated was second to none.
I was so lucky to have two such professional and caring midwives looking after me. They show great empathy towards their patients and are so down to earth and approachable
All of the midwives I have met and who have cared for me have been very helpful, they have ensured post-operatively that I was comfortable and supported breast feeding
