The Finance Directorate at the Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for the development and implementation of the Financial Strategy to ensure all targets are met.
Below is a list of all of the finance staff and their role within the Finance Team.
Vanessa Harris - Director of Finance
Member of Trust Board leading on the development and implementation of financial strategy and targets. Responsible for service contracts with PCT’s and other commissioners. Leads the finance and procurement functions.
Dave Renouf - Deputy Director of Finance
Responsible for the operational management of the department ensuring systems are in place for the production of financial information for directorates, the Board and external regulators. Provides day to day management for Finance and Procurement staff supporting teams in the delivery of services.
Jeff Johnston - Assistant Director of Finance
Primary contact for matters relating to clinical and non clinical contracts provided to or received by the Trust. Trust lead for advice on the development of business cases for service development and R&D income.
Financial Management
Shahida Mohammed - Directorate Accountant
Primary contact for all financial matters impacting the Obstetrics directorate. Co-ordinates activities to produce monthly corporate report.
Gerry Murphy - Management Accountant
Contact for budget holders within the Obstetrics directorate and supports Shahida.
Gareth Worsley - Directorate Accountant
Primary contact for all financial matters impacting the Critical Care and Support Services, directorate. Leads on the development of financial systems within the Trust.
Jacky Dexter - Directorate Accountant
Primary contact for all financial matters impacting the Gynaecology, Hewitt Centre and Genetics directorate. Trust lead for reference costs.
Esme Evans - Management Accountant
Contact for budget holders within the Gynaecology, Hewitt Centre and Genetics directorates supporting Jacky.
Mark Grice - Management Accountant
Primary contact for budget holders within the corporate directorates and supports Gareth.
Chris Lynch - Finance Assistant
Supports the financial management team across a range of activities.

Financial Services
Jill Boggan - Financial Accountant
Primary contact for all queries concerning the delivery of financial services including advice on statutory accounting and taxation matters.
Andrea Beattie - AP Supervisor
Supports Jill in cash management and monitoring banking services to the Trust, the reconciliation of control accounts and ensuring payments to suppliers are made in a timely manner.
Alison Kennedy - Charitable Funds Accountant
Contact for day to day queries on the operation of charitable funds. Maintains the register of capital assets held by the Trust and can advise on disposal procedures.
Wendy Wilson - Accounts Receivable
Primary contact for queries relating to debtor invoices including the recovery of outstanding debts.
Sue Wong - Finance Assistant Accounts Receivable
Contact for raising debtor invoices and supports Wendy.
Lee Jones - Finance Assistant Accounts Payable
Contact for day to day queries on the payment of invoices and supports Andrea.
Shakira Joynson - Finance Assistant
Supports financial services team.
General Office
Norma Hughes - Cashier
Contact for day to day queries relating to the receipting of income including via credit card and miscellaneous reimbursements including patient travel and petty cash.
Clare Bonner - Finance Assistant
Assists Norma within the General Office.
Purchasing Department
Malcolm Fletcher - Purchasing Officer
Chris Brazendale - Purchasing Officer
Joan Lewis - Purchasing Officer
Purchasing team will advise on all matters relating to the procurement of goods and services required by the Trust.
Specialist procurement advice is available to the Trust through an agreement with Alder Hey and includes advice on tendering procedures and clinical procurement.
