The Directorate is engaged in predominantly Clinical Service support, and is diverse in range of services it provides. In addition to Clinical Ward, High Dependency, and Theatre environments, we also provide and are responsible for services from Pharmacy, Hospital Sterile Services and Radiology and Imaging. The management additional services include blood transfusion and on-site Bio-medical Engineering (Service Level Agreement).
Medical (Anaesthetic) input is mostly in the clinical areas but is again a diverse, dealing with:
- Traditional theatre list sessions, with associated pre- and post-operative care
- High Dependency Care and Procedures in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Obstetric Analgesia and Anaesthesia
- Pre-operative Anaesthetic Assessment Clinics
- Obstetric Medical Disorder Clinics
- Acute pain Management
